Warm weather on the Silver Coast
The past week we have been enjoying some wonderful weather on the Silver Coast. From Ericeira to Nazare, holiday makers and locals alike have been making the most of the very warm sunshine for some al fresco dining and days on the beach.
The well known golf courses in the area at Praia del Rey and Rio Maior's Golden Eagle, have been extremely busy, with lots of visitors from not just the UK, but from northern Europe and Ireland too.
Good weather is not unusual at the beginning of November, indeed this phenomenon is known here in Portugal as Verao de Sao Martinho, (St. Martin's Summer) as the timing of the extra warm and sunny days coincide with St. Martin's saint day on November 11th.
